Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP), the first ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy in Orange County, California, seeks excellent candidates for a leadership position as the School's Associate Dean of Assessment and Accreditation. This 12-month, calendar-year position is classified as a faculty position with administrative responsibilities. The faculty rank (Professor or Associate Professor), department affiliation (Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacy Practice) or tenure status (tenured or non-tenure track) will be open, based on the academic qualifications of the applicant.

CUSP offers a PharmD and MS/PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs that address the challenges of tomorrow in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. 1. PharmD, EdD, or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related disciplines.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Prior substantial experience in curriculum and program assessment and accreditation standards, preferably at a US School of Pharmacy, consistent with an appointment at the level of Associate Dean at CUSP.
4. Academic qualifications for faculty appointment at the rank of tenured or non-tenure track Professor. Candidates with qualifications for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor will be considered only if they possess a strong assessment experience.

Prior substantial experience from a U.S. Pharmacy School, consistent with an appointment at the level of Associate Dean at CUSP is desired.



Faculty Responsibilities:
1. Teach in the PharmD or MS/PhD graduate programs, depending on the area of expertise.
2. Conduct scholarship in the area of expertise, including the scholarship of teaching, learning, and assessment.

Administrative Responsibilities:

1. Provide administrative leadership to the Office of Assessment and Accreditation.
2. Plan, execute, and report the assessment of the School’s academic curricula, programs, and strategic plans.
3. Oversee the planning, data acquisition/analysis, and writing of reports for maintaining ACPE and regional accreditation.
